Deck Statuse Light : Helideck lighting system equipment is composed of products suitable for installation in hazardous area (Zone 1 and 2) and in marine environment.The peculiarities of such products are the long duration and the high reliability, which allow to have a 10 year operational warranty, without maintenance operations.A helideck lighting system consists of two types of luminaries: floodlights and perimeter lights.
The helideck floodlight is based on the IQL85, mounted horizontally, and is fitted with a special cover so as not to dazzle the pilot. Typically 8 units for 22m helidecks or 10 units for 25m helidecks are used. The average illuminance is 33 lux with a uniformity ratio (average to minimum) of 2.5:1. This ratio gives an extremely constant horizontal light characteristic in the actual landing area. Changes are in the making to replace the floodlighting, by lighting up the circle and the “H” with an alternative lighting system.
