Dubai-based Mac Offshore has undocked its compact semi-submersible (CCS) vessel Belait CCS 1.
The undocking ceremony for the vessel was held earlier this week at Fujian Mawei shipyard in the city of Fuzhou in southeast China.
Finland's Cargotec MacGregor is to install a 60-tonne and a 12-tonne crane on the Belait CCS 1, which is bound for Brunei to conduct well-head maintenance work starting in the middle of 2014.
Mac Offshore estimates the vessel - one of four on order from Fujian Mawei - has a market value of $500 million.
It is the second vessel made by Mac Offshore using its CCS concept that combines the functions of an offshore support vessel with a floating accommodation unit.
